I found yoga many moons ago through an unfortunate incident. I was mugged at knifepoint, and I could not sleep, eat or function for months. Yoga gave me a safe space to retreat from the chaotic world outside. The practice brought me back to balance.
I toyed with the idea of doing teacher training for several years, but I couldn’t settle on a teacher. While living on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand, I had the opportunity to attend one of Simon Low’s yoga retreats. I came away from this experience having had so many a-ha moments that I instinctively knew this was the yoga that really spoke to me and that I wanted to teach. I continued my studies and qualified as a yoga teacher under Simon Low in 2019.
Since then, I have widened the scope of my studies, gaining additional knowledge in other fields and disciplines such as qigong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, myofascial release, restorative, pranayama, mental health and wellness for yoga and crystal bowl sound healing.
